ABOUT ME

I’m a painter, sculptor, and multidisciplinary designer. My work lives somewhere between lived experience and the dream state, shaped by feeling, memory, and the things that don’t always have language.

The moments that linger. The ones that don’t fully resolve.

Through surrealism, I explore how emotion takes form and how something internal becomes visible and shared. artbyjoia grew from that space, where art, poetry, and inner worlds meet and echo back. I move through my work as a creatrix, following what is felt and giving it shape, even when it doesn’t arrive clearly.

At times the process feels almost demiurgic, a quiet act of building from within, of bringing something forward that did not exist in this way before. I’m drawn to the tension between the seen and the sensed. What is understood and what is only felt.

I create worlds with a brush, and extend them into design so they can be entered, experienced, and recognized.
